Local office supply store has lots of paper stock, ready to print invitations etc., Find something you like, follow instructions, and print your own. Be sure to have someone proofread your invitation for errors, etc. You will surprised how many errors are missed because you only use the tool for spellcheck.

well you can’t get any more modern than pocketfold invitation but they could be very expensive if you order them with a company why don’t u try to do it yourself. that’s what i’m doing. for me it doesn’t have to do with cost but it’s a little easier for me because i need half and half spanish and english invitations.

I just ordered these great pocket fold invitations for $1 each, they are blank so you save a lot of money printing your self or just paying a local print shop! These are just a few on the website so look around! I loved them even more because these come in any color combination you want!

Hello! I have found that making your own invitations is usually the cheapest way to go. When I got married, I had almost 500 guests invited…that was approx. 250-275 invitations. I was somewhat skilled in Adobe Pagemaker (computer design program) and was able to design my own invite. My design was fashioned so that 1 standard sheet of paper yielded 4 invites. I took my layout to a local copy shop (ex: Kinkos). At the copy shop, I was able to pick out a nice neutral paper for the invites. Because I wanted black lettering, I had the shop photocopy my laid-out design. I only had to pay for approx. 65 copies (since one copy yielded 4 invites). I also picked out a corresponding cardstock & envelope from the shop. I had them cut each piece of cardstock into 4ths & drill two holes side by side. They did the same with the photocopied invites. I then purchased a couple spools of ribbon & assembled my invites with the help of family and friends. First I laid down the cardstock, then placed the photocopied invitation on top (matching up the drill holes). I tied them together with the coordinating ribbon I had bought. The result was a gorgeous invitation at a fraction of the price being charged by invitation companies.
For some friends’ weddings, I did the same for them & also made wedding ceremony programs to match. For them, I was no longer using the Adobe Pagemaker program. But I was able to use my basic card-making software to achieve the same effect. I have found that bringing the project to the copy shop is cheaper than printing your project at home (less hassle too!). You won’t be using an TON of ink on your home copier.

I used cardsandpockets.com to order the envelopes and pockets for my invitations and bought paper from Michaels to print on and did it all myself. They came out great and cost me about $35
A great place to go is http://www.invitationpaper.com They have a really nice selection. The hard part after picking your design is to decide on the wording of the invite. Go through Modern Bride or another wedding magazine and order a couple of free invitation catalogs and they will usually show different examples of wording and just copy off the catalog!
Another good way to save is to have people RSVP on a website or by e-mail if you know that they have the internet. This saves a lot on postage.

We had a more casual wedding so we used seal-and-send invitations. You don’t need all the envelopes so they were a lot cheaper! Plus – they have a lot of modern designs to choose from. Look up seal and send on google.
