06 DecWEdding Candles?

For my wedding I am having votive candles around my centerpiece I have votive holders for them, but there is a problem! It is an outdoor wedding and the candles go to the top of the holders, which means I am going to be re-lighting them every time a breeze comes through. I had the idea to melt the votive candle in the candle holders in the oven. I am not sure exactly how to do this. Has anyone tried this before??

i guess it’s a night time reception so ppl will see the light flickering, or you hope they will.
it’s best to get the new led “fake” candles. they last for hours and never burn or blow out.
they are sold at craft stores and online.
    here is 1 link http://www. littlebrightlights. com/site/1435548/page/884712
but there are tons more online

melting the candles in to the holders won’t stop the wind from blowing them out.

I think the fake candles are a great idea. . . they will last throughout your event and not ‘blow out’. . . only other idea is to change your centerpiece. . . if you have trees around, you may consider hanging glass holders from the limbs with candles in them. . . even if it blows, they’ll flow a little and be very pretty.

(Maybe it will be a very ’still’ night. . . lol)

    Good luck and congrats!

I would light the votive candles and burn them down a little bit. No one is going to know that they were pre-lit because they are going to be lit at the reception. This would let them burn down a little bit below the top of the votive holder. Another thing you can do is cut some off the bottom of the candle to make them lower if you don’t want to pre burn them.
